Tilley Family Update (From the USA)

Back in the States!

Our first morning in the States and I went down stairs and saw Zachary sitting at the kitchen table and grandpa making breakfast for him.  I looked closer at him and saw that his entire mouth was stuffed with sausages and he proudly proclaimed in a garbled voice “Hey dad, I am on my 9th sausage…boy, do I LOVE America”!

The other day, the entire family went to the City Museum in St. Louis along with Cyndi’s sisters, children and her mother.  Our kids had so much fun running around with their cousins and aunts and grandma. Emma sweetly remarked that the day felt like “Christmas”, because she was enjoying her time with family.

Our family has been having a great time, reconnecting with family and friends.  We have been traveling around in Chicago, Alabama, and in the Southern Illinois area.  For the children to see their grandparents and aunts, uncles, and cousins after 4 years in some situations it is a huge blessing.

We have very exciting news to share.  Many of your remember that when Mark was sick his body developed a 10mm gall stone.  This was seen on a ultra sound in Bangladesh on two different occasions.  It was caused by severe dehydration and stress that Mark experienced.  Upon returning to the States we met with a children’s doctor to talk through options of removing the gall stone.  We showed him the ultrasound photos from Dhaka he examined Mark and then we set a date for surgery. Prior to that the doctor wanted to see if anything had changed so he had Mark go through another ultrasound.  I was with him when he was being examined and the ultrasound technician announced that the gall stone was not there and that Marks gall bladder was in perfect condition.  Mark and I were praising God together.  When Mark told Cyndi in the hospital waiting room, she started to cry and we prayed together as a family and thanked the Lord for His wonderful provision.  The doctors told us that they can’t explain it, but for us they do not need too.  We know that the Lord in His graciousness healed Mark.   Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and encouraging emails.  Our Lord is utterly amazing.
